Unlocking your true potential.
If you, like me, enjoy gardening, you’ll know seeds come in all different shapes, sizes, colours and textures. A bit like us!
You’ll know the time and effort spent working out what seeds you’ll need for the next growing season, what seeds work well for you and what seeds seem to go on strike the minute you look at them. You’ll also know the utter, childlike excitement of seeing the first bit of green poking through the soil in spring.
But….have you ever really sat with a seed in your hand, looked at that little powerhouse of energy and thought, “how do you do it”?
I would like to encourage you to do just that.
Too often, we pop a seed in the soil, give it a sprinkle then rush off to something else. You may even have watched a time lapse video of a seed starting to grow (I love those!).
Seeds are mini miracles, if I may be so bold. Not only do they need to start the life of whatever plant they ar going to be, they need all that energy to begin the process, (with just water, I might add), they need to develop leaves and a root system.
Yes, theres food in the soil – which is why so many of us are turning to ‘no dig’ as opposed to pouring on a liquid fertiliser – but that wee guy has to know how to tap into that food source.
The, theres the maturing of the plant, the leaves, the flowers, the fruits and then more seeds! Its exhausting to think about.
All that potential.
All that hope.
All that nutrition and beauty for us.
All of that, in one little seed.
If a tiny, little seed can do all that with some soil, sun and water, what can you do with everything thats available to you?
Enjoy your seeds!
