My Job Description

I hate it when they ask, “what is it that you do?”,

I could just say, “housewife”, but that would not be true.

I’m a carer, teacher, designer, baker,

A personal shopper, accountant and appointment maker.

I’m a fully trained cleaner, a chauffeur and nurse,

Skilled in the art of stopping things getting worse.

A gardener who works with love, hope and grit.

They’ll say “Oh, a housewife”, but that’s really not it.

Relentless romantic – an atmosphere shaker…

I’m these things and more – a modern homemaker.
