Going In Housework Circles

Dishes done and sink is clear,

I turned my back and more appear:

“We haven’t even eaten yet”,

I think as I get new pile wet.

Last load of ironing finally done,

Then see I’ve washed another one.

Get that dry and ironed too –

Another pile comes out the blue.

Hoovers used and put away,

Floors just as dirty every day.

Dusting done but wonder why

As all I see are more specks fly.

Kitchen closed and bathroom clean –

Feeling like a housework Queen!

A vase of flowers, new baked bread:

A lived-in home when all is said.
