This isn’t my usual type of blog post.
This isn’t a movie review: I haven’t seen it yet – but I will, even though I know it won’t be an easy watch.
I’ve seen the trailer; I’m listening to the podcast made by the guy the film is about (Tim Ballard’s In The Trenches); I’m aware the mainstream media has slammed this film and I’ve been aware of the subject matter for years.
All of these things make me want to watch the film but more than that, I want to urge every single person to watch it too.
- Heard on a channel you trust that it’s a rubbish movie made by conspiracy theorists for conspiracy theorists? Watch it.
- Think the subject matter is too hard to deal with? Watch it.
- Not keen on some of the people who are involved in making or publicising the film? Don’t care – watch it.
There is no excuse I can think of, from anyone, to not see this film because the awareness this film will bring, world-wide, can help to bring an end to the trafficking of children for sex, torture, murder and body parts. Isn’t that worth a little bit of your time?
People who would choose to turn away from this movie rather than deal with the problems it attempts to address, are the types of people we should also be watching very closely.
