Dog Food – A Poem

My dog won’t eat his food,

he wants the same as me.

I look into his big brown eyes

and say “That cannot be –

I went up to the shops

and bought you all the tins –

But now it would appear

you don’t want whats within.

I cannot make you burgers,

Spaghetti is a no,

Stir fry is out the question –

Dog foods the way to go”.

His big eyes just get bigger,

he starts to lick his lips.

I’m not fooling him or me

so I give him fish and chips!
