Podcasts Perfect for Halloween

For a bit of fun, in the run up to Halloween, I thought I’d do a few posts aimed at the more spooky side of entertainment for this time of year.

Today, I bring you my top 3 podcasts I listen to for all things weird, paranormal and unexplained. If you are in need of a new podcast, (not including my own at: https://mysliceoflife.podbean.com ), I offer you the following:

1 – Paranormal Activity Podcast – Based in the UK and hosted by Yvette Fielding. If you are of a certain age and live in the UK, you will know her as being a presenter of a kids tv show called ‘Blue Peter’ at one time and now the presenter of ‘Most Haunted’. The podcast has a main show on a thursday and a ‘listener special’ every monday, where listeners can email in their own experiences to be included on the show (which I have done in the past!)

2 – 13 Days of Halloween – I don’t know much about the people involved in this podcast so I can’t give you any background. I can, however, tell you it is a podcast which gives you a chapter of a story – acted out so it feels real – every day, for the 13 days up to Halloween. I have thoroughly enjoyed this podcast in the run-up to previous Halloweens – I am aware of two previous stories being done and I am looking forward to this year’s story.

3 – Paranormal Round Table – I am new to the party with this one so I don’t “know” the hosts and their backgrounds but I am enjoying their podcast! The host interviews a LOT of people about their experiences with all things unexplained. He then comes to the podcast and retells these stories, which are then discussed with the other members of the ’round table’. What I like about this podcast is the way he tells the stories. It sounds very natural and they don’t judge the people who told their story. I’ve also been blown away by 1. How many people have experiences of the same things and give very similar descriptions, even from other countries & 2. How naturally these ‘things’ are discussed on the show. It almost makes you feel weird if you haven’t seen something crawling round a car park or rummaging in your bins! Very interesting and intriguing.

Thats the main ones I listen to but if you know of a good one I’d love to hear about it.

Who do you tune in to for your Halloween entertainment?
