If I could write every day,

what on Earth would I say,

that would make all the readers

come and look my way?

Would they want to know my thoughts

on the questions they’ve all got?

Or would they stick with the authors

they’ve already bought?

Don’t they wish for new perspective

to challenge old directives?

That changing of direction

could make them more reflective.

I’m hoping for the time

that best-seller list has mine,

be it story form or poem,

so I wait and write meantime.
