Crafting for the garden birds again!

I had a lot to do the other day, so naturally, I looked for the biggest distraction I could find instead of doing the work that was waiting for me.

Making a bird feeder seemed the obvious choice instead of washing the dishes, emptying the hoover or doing the ironing.

We have noticed the starlings are always pushing the smaller sparrows out the way at the feeders, so I was trying to come up with something that the little ones could use easily but would be more difficult for the bigger ones – we have other offerings for them!

I had kept an old milk carton and a pie tin handy so I thought I’d use them. I had a go at a bit of macrame to hold it all together but I haven’t done it in years so it has a lot of mistakes but the birds haven’t complained so far!
