The plants, me or the neighbour’s cat?

Who has been the most ‘productive’ this weekend?

I hadn’t planned on doing a ton of stuff this weekend as I just wanted to relax after finishing the home-schooling but apparently, I can’t sit still.

I’ve been doing some sewing/repairing/knitting of various things but I’ll show you them at a later time when I actually get them finished but I’ve been doing other things too.

There was a street market in town on Saturday but for the first time, I decided not to go. I don’t mean to sound, well, mean, but I find them so expensive here. Whether it’s the small jars of honey, the hand-made things I don’t need or the many other stalls which have me out-priced before they’ve even set up, I just don’t enjoy them like I used to. Even the charity stalls are getting pricey! I love a tombola as much as the next person with a thing about unravelling small tickets in the hope of winning something they don’t want, but you used to get 5 tickets for a pound, now it’s only 2! Some of them only give you one! Aargh the very thought.

So, instead, I did some housework and went to the ‘book place’ which is just a place beside the dump where the ‘good stuff’ is sold on instead of being dumped. And yes, I’ve noticed their prices going up too although the books are still a bargain – 3 for £1! (Very handy for home-schooling).

I also tackled the ironing this weekend – a whole mountain of it.

It got warm too. I mean for us, it was warm and the plants are responding nicely. I took some photos to prove we had heat and also some to show the progress as well as one or two to show why we hate snails so much:

Sadly, the neighbour’s cat has also been very productive – in my piggin’ fairy garden, before I could even get it finished. Am I wrong to have felt so angry about this? I know it’s not a major thing but I am so fed up picking up cat poo when we don’t even have a cat! She ruined the furniture and wrecked the path of glow pebbles – such a destructive feline.

What really annoyed me, apart from the obvious, is the flower seeds I have put in there have been disturbed again. So if anyone knows a way to keep a moggie away from my fairy garden please let me know – I’m open to all suggestions at this point!

  1. If you do find a way to keep cats out, let me know. They are a major pest.
