A dream so many hold,

to sit and appreciate silence

and ponder on times new and old.

A state one dreams of achieving,

a situation so seldom found.

To let thoughts form so naturally

minus the distraction of sound.

Stillness, quiet and peace

all hard to attain by me,

to sit and appreciate silence –

a place where I long to be.
