Cold shoulder, cold hands, cold everything

The temperature dropped again today so naturally I got the camera out.

There was no gardening to be done today at these temperatures but at least now my bathroom is shining! Isn’t it amazing how busy we can get when we put our minds to it?

I ventured out to the garden for a little while to feed the birds and check what the temperature was in the polytunnel. Don’t think I’ll be growing too much in there:

That’s C on the left and F on the right!

I used an old technique to bring a little heat to the kitchen.

That angle looks dodgy in the picture but I can assure you it was all flat and perfectly safe!

So then I got a bit click happy and thought I’d share them with you in case you are somewhere where you don’t really get frost at 2 in the afternoon!

Even the birds got some attention!

At some time around 4pm I was at my table and noticed the sky was quite dark on one side – then I saw the birds doing their nightly routine and getting ready for their beddy-byes!

All very dramatic but also very cold. I checked the forecast and it looks like there will be another huge difference by Sunday. We’ll be going from -2C (-3 as I type this) to around 12 or 13C. Looking forward to it!

And before I go may I take a moment to say “Happy Thanksgiving” to those of you who do celebrate today – have some turkey for me will you?!
