Catch an Idea

Ideas and plans,

in a mad swirl, they come –

I frantically grab,

trying to hold on to one.

I’ll cling on so tightly,

inspect what I find –

it shines back so brightly

and lights up my mind.

I’ll roll them all up,

and safely I’ll keep

all the other ideas

and buy them deep.

They will arise

when their time is right.

They make for good company

in the dark hours of night.
