It’s been a bit of a week……again!
Well my bloggy friends, it’s been one of those weeks. This isn’t the first time we’ve been here so I’ll spare the whole attempt at a witty intro and get right down to the nitty gritty.
A month ago, you may remember, I was a nervous wreck as Dearest Son had an appointment at ‘the big hospital’, where he got heavily sedated in order to have a couple of teeth removed. Well, on Tuesday this week, the whole process was repeated on the other side of his mouth. Sadly, this time, I did not sleep well on the Monday night and to this day, I’m not sure how I did all the driving and looking after the patient with the pitiful sleep I did manage. Having said all of that however, we got through it and he handled the whole process admirably. He was given a bit more sedation this time around but luckily I had decided to park in the dental clinic’s ‘pay to park’ car park so we didn’t have so far to walk. That was just as well as the sedation seemed to bring on a slight case of tourettes.
After that, the week has been busy but productive.
I have previously shown you some of the progress where the seeds are concerned but I’ve also been trying to get the back garden organised. I feel I may be sowing a little early but nothing ventured and all that. My onion seeds are a fail for the most part – something which is a common outcome for me so maybe I have to stick to sets from now on. That doesn’t sit well with the experimental side of my nature.
I also planted a little blackberry plant I got for £1.99 or thereabouts recently – bargain. So I’ve put him in a little spot which gets the sun and has plenty of fence for him to climb up.

The polystyrene box I’ve used for my salad leaves is very handy, I’ve used it for a couple of years now. Salad grown for leaves doesn’t have deep roots so I can keep cutting and sowing all through the season. I’ve put a french salad mix in just now. By the way, does anyone else grow hyssop? If so, what do you use if for? I’ve grown it for a while but found I don’t actually use it for anything so tips are welcomed!
And just for the heck of it, I’ll add in some pictures of the night sky from a recent dog walk as I haven’t found any other way of posting them:

Happy Thursday Everyone!
