Tree Orchestra

Background:

When I was a student many many years ago, I was in the student accommodation of the town hospital. It was a dark night and the weather wasn’t great. As I looked out of my window, watching the trees outside the following short poem sprang to mind. This is one I’ve turned into what I call visual poetry and the video can be seen below on Youtube. I hope you enjoy….

Tree Orchestra

I watched the trees dance in the wind

While I crouched on my window ledge,

From every green feathery giant

To each organised bush and hedge.

The wind would strike up a tune

As branches would gracefully glide

Unaware their performance was watched

At a window, by me, from inside.

    Wow, this is such a unique and beautiful concept! I never thought of trees as musical instruments before. I love how this project incorporates art and nature. Truly inspiring.
