A year or two back, I got hold of someone’s old freezer and put it in the garden, thinking I could use it to store veg over the winter, from the allotment. I tried it but water was getting in although it was good at keeping vermin out.
I was thinking about getting rid of it as its been sitting a while in garden doing nothing except making the place look like a junk yard. I was also trying to come up with a way to make a compost bin for the garden. Then I saw a video on Youtube where the guy used a large fridge freezer as his compost bin so I thought I would give it a go!

I even rehomed some worms from the allotment! They seem quite happy, the compost is insulated so should be warmer than in a conventional compost bin. Fingers crossed!
