Gardening Progress at Last!

The Motivation Fairy made a welcome return this weekend, despite the weather, which saw all sorts of things being thrown round the back garden like a scene from the Wizard of Oz.

Getting ‘that bit’ at the front of the garden tidied has been on my list of jobs for a while and now I can say, with a fanfare if you don’t mind, it is done! The before pictures show a gloomy scene:

It was a mess of weeds and winter growth which left the place looking sad and wanting.

However! I still had some of the 160 bulbs left that I got online at a bargain price of £6 so time to get busy. Obviously you won’t see the bulbs yet but I do hope you see the progress which spending time in the cold can bring.

Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of my robin friend as my ipad battery had died but I will keep trying to get one – if nothing else, just to show how close he is coming to me now! After a winter of talking and coaching him ever closer, he seems quite happy to be very close now while I talk to him. He isn’t eating from my hand yet but one day soon I hope. I’ve only ever had that happen once before, up at the allotment but it was amazing and so I’d like to think I can manage again with my new little friend!

  1. 160 bulbs! That was a lot of work. I hope that you do get a good show for it.
