Just A Sip

“You’ve worked hard”, said husband,

“I have some wine for you”.

Well I had a little glass

But one turned into two.

A neighbour brought some vodka,

Just turned up at the door.

“You’ve got to try this flavour”,

I tried, then tried some more.

By this time I felt warm,

A glow was setting in,

That’s when the door was knocked again,

My friend had brought her gin.

“Jusht a ship”, I shaid

“A sheeing two of you”,

“It shmells o’ plants in shunshine

An looks a shparkly blue.”

When she left a thinkin,

‘A betta goes ma bed’,

But Hubrand digs oot Brandee

Sho we drinkit that inshtead.

A typin up ma poem

Cosh too hard a Shpoke,

I preshin all rite keeys

But fink ma keeboreds broke……………
