I can’t stress enough how desperately I need to get my tomatoes and courgettes etc planted out – but – the weather, oh the weather.
Ok, I know it’s a cliche that us Brits go on about the weather but if you’re not from here there are 2 things (probably more) that you need to know. 1 – a lot of us are gardeners and I mean a lot. 2 – we have to plan for our gardens and lives in general but often get several seasons in one day which makes it very tricky. Oh and I’ll put in a 3 – the weather forecasts are pretty much useless.
I looked up the weather for Tuesday and saw this:

That’s a high of about 53F low of 43F roughly. That is a good temperature for me to work in the garden or allotment and I can easily cope with light rain showers. As for a fresh breeze? Piece of cake. Here is a snapshot of what we got:

Does that look like it’s going to bring light rain showers? No, because this is the cloud of ‘take cover we’re in for it’, and that is what we got. Oh and that fresh breeze? Try a howling gale and for the record, there is no point in the day we got 12C – it was freezing. In June.
I despair a little but I’m trying to look on the bright side as this gives me a little more time to work on other things. I have a new element to fit in the cooker but I couldn’t do that as the sky was so dark I couldn’t see what I was doing and needed more light than a little torch!
So, could someone send me some sun please. Anyone….?
