Wolves, Tigers and Bears….oh my!

This weekend found us visiting the Highland Wildlife in Kincraig as part of birthday celebrations for Dearest son. We loved it – here’s why:

I could have stayed there all day. I’ll admit, their signposting to the place isn’t great; we drove past it and had to take a back road to get to it. It is also VERY expensive in the shop and cafe. When you pay to get in (which as you would expect is going to cost you), they actually add on 10% donation then ask you if you want to take it off! In the shop they have the usual sort of gifts and trinkets you would expect. I really wanted a little wolf (one of my favourites of the day). Just a small wolf toy, and I mean small – £20.

Needless to say, I didn’t get my wee wolfie to take home with me, but I did get a wolf notepad and pen to jot down all my ideas and the like, when inspiration strikes.

I think when I go through my photos I’ll have inspiration aplenty.

  1. I liked our visit there several years ago a lot. They have done very well to keep it going for so long.

    1. It looks like they are expanding in places, lots of building going on.
