Winding down home-school, fighting weather and dealing with bereavement has meant a few strange days recently.
We don’t finish our home-school till Thursday but we have the winding down feel to our days. We are all a little deflated to tell the truth:
Dark, cloudy skies with frequent heavy downpours is matching the general mood of the house too.
Someone we know passed away a couple of days ago. I don’t feel like I can write too much about it except to say my husband is probably struggling the most as the loss will affect him the most. I get sad of course, but I’m sad for him too as he has lost someone he has known for a very long time.
It’s never easy when you are in this situation and Dearest Son is dealing with it extremely well. We’ve had very open conversations about the range of feelings and emotions he is experiencing – assuring him they are all completely normal.
I’m not sure what else to say at the moment so I’ll keep this post brief. Think I’ll check the forecast again and try to do something plant related – that usually helps me feel a bit better.
