I did a few things yesterday, from picking fruit, walking the dog and getting swooped by some seriously aggressive seagulls so I thought I’d share some of it with you.

Firstly, the garden. There have been a lot of summer raspberries which have been great and I am finally getting bees visiting the garden. I had worried a bit because they seemed to be on their holidays but they are slowly returning.

Later in the day we went for a walk with our dog Scooby. It’s become quite a task in the last week or 2 due to the seagulls who are particularly aggressive just now as their young are about. We walked one of the neighbouring streets last week and one of them didn’t just dive-bomb me, the feathery swine hit me on the head! I’m not joking – I got gull feet knocking on my noggin and I didn’t enjoy it. In fact I washed my hair; well, you don’t know where they’ve been do you?

Same thing a couple of days ago. We were walking along a street which is usually pretty quiet but now I am hyper vigilant about these bothersome bombers and sure enough we spotted them. They send signals to each other from the roof tops and circle you like air-borne sharks before the rear gunner comes at you while you’re distracted by the one in front. We just managed to duck in time and ran like hell out of there.

We took a different route last night but still got swooped. He was a little higher but we ran to the nearest tree so he couldn’t get above us. After that we had a nice walk and took a different route home.

I’ll be taking an umbrella with me every time I go out until the attacks stop! I did try to get a picture of one of the attackers but they suddenly acted very innocent and left us alone. Maybe they are camera shy?!
