It’s great to get a win

A day of wins today which I will not take for granted!

The first major win of the day was the MOT. I put my car in for it’s annual test and I usually use a garage not far from here. However, after talking to my hairdresser a couple of months ago, I went to the same garage she uses.

It’s tucked away in an old part of the town. If fact, I saw it in old books of the town and in the black and white photos I saw it was originally used as stables, complete with horse and cart! I couldn’t actually find the front door as it was 2 large open-ways and nobody around. Eventually I saw a man in an office and I knocked on the door. “Come round to the other door”, he said.

I couldn’t find any other door!

Eventually I went in to one of the open parts and could hear him shouting, “Where are you”?

Not a great start but I left the car and went home to start organising a cupboard and do some general tidying up. Then just before lunch, the phone rang. I braced myself for the usual bad news and large bill.

“That’s your car ready for collection”, he said.

It passed the MOT first time and I was delighted! I have had a lot of work done on it over the past year so I suppose I shouldn’t have been so surprised but still, that’s a major win. I won’t even tell you what I have paid at the other garage over the last couple of years.

Then after picking up the car, I set to cleaning the house, only stopping to walk Scooby (who had a bath the previous night and was still showing off his new coat. I’m not joking).

So I’ve managed to get the MOT done, save a small fortune and get a LOT of cleaning done as well as walking the dog before dark!

That’s a lot of wins for one day. No wonder I’m tired!

Wishing you all a day full of wins today.

    1. It really is, especially when the last couple of years have cost hundreds to get fixed.
