Looking for colour among lots of grey!

The amount of cloud and rain we’ve had over the last couple of days has been less than inspiring if I’m being honest but I did my best to find some colour in the garden just to prove there actually is some.

I have to say it was pouring rain when I took all those photos so I’m surprised they came out as clearly as they did!

I like to make an effort to find the colour when it’s grey and not just in the garden. In life in general I am the person in this household anyway, who will look for the silver lining, the bright side, whatever you want to call it. It isn’t always easy but I think of it like a muscle and the more I do it, the more automatic it becomes.

It’s too easy to let the doom take over, especially now when there is so much of it around so I look for the colour – it’s my act of defiance.

  1. Love that marigold! Beautiful
I still think the sky is gorgeous even when it’s grey 😊

  2. And when you are in a group of perpetually sunny disposition folk who refuse to acknowledge or take action or stand against the dark and corrupting forces that are taking over the world, do you become the ‘party pooper’ who rains on their parade with a healthy dose of reality?
