We decided an earlier dog walk was in order to avoid the loud bangs.
I also decided to take some pictures on the way, so I can show you lovely people! I’ve shown some of the work done by a group in town called ‘yarn bombers’ I believe, and they have been hard at work putting up displays for this weekends Remembrance Day.

There are more throughout town but I didn’t get to them all. Sadly one of the displays has apparently suffered from vandalism which I don’t think usually happens.
One of our dog’s favourite places to go is the park behind the museum – lots of trees and interesting smells! Also, lots of leave to kick through which he is thoroughly enjoying this year, as well as burying himself in them.
The light was fading but I think you’ll still get a good feel for Autumn in these!

And the good news is we managed to avoid all fireworks on our walk! We’ve had a few loud bangs on previous nights but Scooby coped very well – we just keep talking CONSTANTLY and don’t pay any attention to them. Same in the house as there were some going off nearby tonight. They weren’t that loud but we could hear them. We didn’t react – Scooby slept! Actually there are a few dogs I’ve seen sitting at their windows watching them – that was something I hadn’t seen before!
