Snow = No Gardening!

Our weather isn’t great.

You know I love my gardening. I’ve been working on the plot, getting it all ready for next year. I’ve spent the last week shovelling manure and doing all sorts of prep work.

That has all stopped.

I haven’t done anything in the garden either and here is why.

I show you this to not only explain why gardening has been halted this week but also to explain something else. We didn’t have a huge amount of snow, couple of inches at most but I got this in my inbox:

Royal Mail couldn’t access our road. Amazon could. Parcelforce could but apparently, Royal Mail couldn’t park at the top and walk down to deliver a parcel. It did arrive several hours later when a lot of the snow had been turned to slush.

We have works going on nearby with the electric people laying cable. I’m preparing for war – my husband has already had words with one of ‘the bosses’ who told him our car ‘would be moving’ to make way. No asking nicely, no politeness, nothing. We are in a cul-de-sac and this street is busy. They want all cars gone – but where to I wonder? There is no other parking nearby so I’m curious to see what happens next. Hubby was told we would get a letter but today heard one of ‘the bosses’ telling a minion ‘just start chapping doors and tell them to move them’. Fasten your seatbelts, this is going to get bumpy!
