Christmas comes to town

The little beach town of Nairn had it’s Christmas market and lights switch on last Saturday and it was quite the turn-out.

This must be one of the highlights of the year for many people but for very different reasons. The local shops are all open, the stall holders turn up to sell their wares, there’s the local pipe band, dancers, Santa – the lot! It is without a doubt the busiest day for the High Street.

I of course, drag Dearest Son along to see the Christmas lights switch on. Yes, he groans initially but he enjoys it in the end.

When we first arrived it was a nice bright afternoon but the light quickly faded in dramatic fashion.

As for me I got a few little things for Christmas presents in a lovely shop called Hippyliciousdreams! The man who runs the shop remembers Dearest Son from way back when I used to take him into town to try and tire him out as a toddler!

So we had a lovely afternoon and enjoyed our little jaunt. It has really put me in a festive mood and I think by the time you read this, I’ll have some of the decorations up in the house!

    1. Isn’t it amazing? It was my son who spotted it first.
