A February Weekend on the Allotment

Finally got some progress to show!

I’ve been working steadily on one bay at the allotment and I was determined to get it finally finished so we could move on to another area. I am very pleased to say that not only did it get finished, I also got the boundary between it and the next bay cleared and covered – with a little help from Dearest Son!

That last bit only got a little compost because there are some asparagus plants in there somewhere – we’ve lost them. When (if) they grow I’ll be adding a line of woodchip as a little boundary ‘wall’.

I also did a little clearing on the next bay!

We also took a lot of rubbish away and got all the rocks that were lying around, put into a basket so I can find them when I need the mesh sheets held down. I still have a few plans up my sleeve and can’t wait to get back!

Just for interest, I’ll add some sky pictures – oh those trails just keep on coming don’t they?

And for those who have an attention span and like more action in their visuals:
