Insect dog treats? No thanks

Would you be happy to feed your dog treats which have been made from insects? I’m not. For those who don’t know, there is a real big push for food we buy to include insects and I see this as one step closer to this goal. I have no desire to eat bugs and I don’t want to feed them to my dog either.

So when I saw these in our local Co-op tonight, I heaved a heavy sigh:

At £3.50 a bag, they aren’t cheap either. I hope this is a short-lived venture. In case you are interested, this is the blurb they put beside it, which I can only assume is to make people think it’s a great idea.

Personally, I find this disgusting and the sooner we go back to real food for us and our pets, the better.

  1. The insects/bugs are safer for the dogs/cats to eat than the legumes they put in the ‘grain-free’ products.

    1. I agree about not giving dogs legumes either. They are meat eaters and should be given meat but the big plan (Agenda 30) is that none of us will be eating real meat – lab grown will be ok. Getting us to accept insects in food is just a step closer.

    1. Still not doing it! Just find it gross and unnecessary – will stick to bones!
