Well friends, isn’t time just flying by at the moment? I realised I haven’t done much ‘blogging’ over the last few days so I thought it was time for a quick catch-up. I’ll just have to imagine you are sitting at the table with me, enjoying a cup of coffee/tea/whatever you found in my cupboard.
So, what have I been doing this week? Actually nothing very exciting which is why I have stayed quiet! I did manage a little bit of tidying in the garden polytunnel the other day which those of you who follow my YouTube channel will be aware of. If you don’t follow the channel, please do! It really helps me out over there in YouTube land.
The weather here has been so bad over the last few days. The strong winds have made it very difficult to get out and get much done in the garden. Added to the fact that the fence panel still isn’t up so I’m using pots etc to block the gap to stop Scooby from escaping. I would have liked to have had them all organised by now. Fingers crossed for this weekend. I’m also hoping to get up to the allotment of course, to continue with the preparation for the season as I’m really pleased with how much we’ve managed to get done so far.
I was going to put up some photos from the polytunnel clear-up but I’ll just link the (short) video instead – you’ll even get to see Scooby creeping up on me!
In other news, I’ve been attempting to do a video version of the podcast for next Monday. Notice I say I’ve been attempting. Yes, those of you who know my technical abilities are probably getting a bit of PTSD at the thought of it. I’ve got something done at least. Then there is the editing and sorting out the sound quality etc. I used a background picture for this one but I’ve made a better background for future use. I don’t get many views on the YouTube podcast channel so I’m not going to worry too much. If nobody bothers to watch, I’ll just go back to audio only and save myself a lot of time! I would love a better microphone so I looked up the ‘Rode’ ones that everyone seems to use – over £200! Not this year, unless some nice people use my ‘buy me a coffee’! 🤣

I can dream!
Other than that, we had our boiler serviced today and Dearest Son has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. I won’t say much just now, I’ll wait and see how it goes.
I have also started my seed sowing but I haven’t taken any pictures to show you yet. My broad beans are starting to show and a couple of the onions (stuttgart) but my red onions are letting me down again this year – can anyone get them to grow from seed and if so, what is your secret?
Apart from that, everything is just ticking along. I am planning to show you the signs of Spring that are now – finally – showing up in the garden. Think you’ll appreciate them. Until next time….
