Day 4 of My Garden Challenge

This is a small job but it makes a BIG difference!

When I was looking round the front garden I knew something had to be done to tidy it up a bit. I’m not ready to weed it yet. I like it looking fuller at this time of the year and it stops the neighbour’s cat from using it as her own personal toilet.

No, I needed a quick job with a big win, so I went for…….edging.

Yes, you read that correctly, edging! I dug out my half moon and got to work and to be honest, it didn’t even take very long. I only take out a little but I am aware I have significantly increased my growing space over the years and am always looking to plant more bulbs and flowers – we never have enough do we? I do have some daffodil bulbs looking for a new home…..🤔

I would love to have a neat little edge in the back garden too but it’s just too stony for that so I’ll need to come up with a win for that area – you’ll see the bit I’m talking about in the video so if you have any ideas please let me know, I’ll love your input since I’m coming up blank at the moment. Scooby tends to walk all over it to get to the fence and sniff at the neighbours which isn’t something I’m all that happy for him to be doing! Do I go for the small metal edging or something bigger?

And with that, I’ll leave you to watch the short video – I think the difference is a great improvement. Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel, it really helps me. By the way, the job coming next has a long story behind it so until then my friends…

  1. Nice!

I may invest in the half moon edging tool. It looks much easier than a shovel 🥴

Flowers still in bloom here too! 🌸

    1. Aha…still using a shovel?! Yeah, the half moon would save you a lot of trouble!
